FOTM 2026

Every roll becomes evidence.
Every frame, a clue.

FOTM 2026

FOTM 2026 is a quarterly, case-based film photography programme designed for photographers of all experience levels.

Rather than assigning rigid themes or technical rules, each case offers a direction of investigation—allowing participants to explore freely while responding to a shared idea.

Film is not treated as a limitation, but as a way of seeing.

PROGRAMME STRUCTURE

Quarterly Case Format

Each quarter includes:

  • One main case (open for the full quarter)
  • Three featured films (Investigation Partners)
  • Three optional monthly mini-challenges

Participants may:

  • Submit only to the main case

  • There is no single correct path.

WHO CAN JOIN

FOTM 2026 is open to:

  • Beginners
  • Experienced photographers
  • Anyone with a film camera

If you can load a roll and shoot, you can participate.

WHY PARTICIPATE

FOTM 2026 is more than just shooting.

It’s an opportunity to:

  • Develop a more intentional way of seeing
  • Experiment with different film stocks
  • Respond to shared themes alongside a wider community
  • Have your work featured, recognised, and archived

Each case builds a living archive of perspectives shaped by film, place, and personal interpretation. For more information, kindly visit the Rewards Page.

[Case #01] Where Light Lingers

Light does not appear all at once. It moves slowly through the city and leaves marks behind.

Where Light Lingers focuses on how light, colour, and shadow shape everyday city spaces. As light shifts
through time, familiar streets, faces, and places begin to
feel different.

[Case #02] What Objects Hold

Objects do not speak. But they are never empty.

They hold traces of use, memory, absence, and desire, quietly shaping how we relate to the world around us.
